Enjoy Plumbing is proudly owned and operated by husband-and-wife team, Rob and Maddi Shipway, who made the move from Sydney to the Mid North Coast in search of a quieter, more meaningful lifestyle.

From Sydney’s Fast Lane to Coastal Calm

Around two years ago, shortly after getting married, Rob and Maddi relocated to beautiful Port Macquarie to start a new chapter—one focused on family, community, and purpose.

While Maddi now works as a committed Physiotherapist at Port Macquarie Hospital, Rob brought with him years of business experience and a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit. He previously founded one of Sydney’s most successful plumbing companies, growing it to a team of over 20 staff at its peak. His efforts earned him the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the business was recognised with multiple Local Business Awards in 2021, 2022, and 2023. After building the company from scratch, Rob eventually sold it to one of his very first apprentices.

What many locals don’t know is that Rob’s connection to Port Macquarie runs deep—his grandparents and great-grandparents have lived in the area since the 1970s, making the move back feel more like a return home than a relocation.

With a fresh start and a wealth of experience, Rob and Maddi launched Enjoy Plumbing, bringing a new level of professionalism, care, and consistency to plumbing services across the Mid North Coast.

At Enjoy Plumbing, we’re not the cheapest plumbers—and we’re okay with that. We focus on providing clear, upfront options, real advice you can trust, and premium workmanship. The company is also proud to support a wide range of women’s charities, local initiatives, and the Animal Welfare League NSW. Giving back is part of the DNA of the business, and it’s something that resonates with the many families who choose to work with us.

Rob and Maddi live locally with their two much-loved dogs—Margaret, a joyful Golden Retriever, and Sandy, a 12-year-old disabled rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a beautiful spirit and big personality. Sandy’s journey is part of what inspires Enjoy Plumbing’s ongoing support for animal welfare causes.
