At Enjoy Plumbing, we specialise in pipe relining which is a smart, no-dig solution to repair damaged or broken pipes from the inside out. At Enjoy Plumbing, we use the industry’s best-in-class BRAWOLINER® system to deliver seamless, high-quality pipe repairs that save you time, money, and stress.

What Is Pipe Relining & How Can It Help Your Home?

Instead of digging up your yard, driveway or flooring to replace a damaged pipe, we insert a specially designed liner into the existing pipe. This liner is coated with a tough resin, which hardens in place and creates a brand-new pipe inside of the old one. It’s strong, seamless, and built to last up to 50 years.

If you’re happy to dig up your yard and deal with multiple different service days over several weeks then excavation might be the right path. But, if you want a faster, cleaner, longer-lasting solution with minimal disruption, then pipe relining is the smarter choice and Enjoy Plumbing are your local pipe relining experts.

What are the pipe repair alternatives?

When it comes to repairing broken or damaged pipes, the main alternative to pipe relining is traditional excavation and pipe replacement.

While excavation used to be the go-to method, it’s now considered outdated for most residential repairs. At Enjoy Plumbing, we offer pipe relining as a smarter, faster, and less disruptive solution—and here’s why it’s often the better choice.

Option 1: Traditional Excavation and Replacement

This method involves digging up the ground, concrete, landscaping—or even parts of your home—to physically remove and replace the damaged section of pipe.

Major Drawbacks:

  • Damage to Property: Driveways, lawns, gardens, tiles, flooring, and even walls may need to be demolished and rebuilt.

  • Major Disruption: This process can take several days or even weeks, depending on access and complexity.

  • Additional Trades Required: You’ll often need concreters, tilers, landscapers, or builders to restore the areas once plumbing work is complete.

  • Increased Cost: The cost of excavation and reinstatement is typically far higher than relining when everything is factored in.

  • You May Have to Move Out: In some cases—especially where the pipes run under bathrooms or living areas—you may need to move out or arrange alternative accommodation while works are underway.

Option 2: Pipe Relining

Relining restores your existing pipe from the inside using advanced, trenchless technology. We install a seamless liner that bonds to the inside of the damaged pipe and cures in place—no digging required.

Why Relining Is a Better Option:

  • No Excavation: Your landscaping, driveway, floors and walls stay untouched.

  • Minimal Disruption: Most jobs are completed within one to two days—without the need to vacate your home.

  • Long-Term Reliability: Our German-engineered BRAWOLINER® solution creates a new structural pipe with a lifespan of over 50 years.

  • Lower Total Cost: No extra trades needed. No expensive reinstatement. Just one efficient plumbing solution.

  • Cleaner & Quieter: No dust, dirt, jackhammers, or heavy equipment around your home.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is pipe relining?

It is a repair carried out from inside the existing pipe. A flexible liner coated in epoxy resin is pulled into the damaged line and inflated against the pipe wall, then left to cure. The result is a smooth, jointless pipe formed inside the old one, which seals the cracks and open joints without anything being dug up.

It depends on the length of the run, the diameter, how much damage there is and how accessible the line is, so we camera it first and then give you a fixed price. What we can tell you is what to compare it against. The honest comparison is not relining against a drain clean, it is relining against excavation plus reinstatement plus the repeat call outs you would otherwise keep paying.

A properly installed liner has an expected life well beyond 50 years. Ours carries a 25 Year Root Free Warranty, with complimentary annual inspections for the first five years.

On most jobs, no. We work through existing access points such as inspection openings and gully traps. If an access pit genuinely is required we will show you where and why before starting, and any excavation carries a 7 Year Statutory Warranty.

Yes, and they are the most common candidates. Clay cracks at the joints and cast iron corrodes from the inside, and the liner cures against whatever is already there. In older homes it is usually the sensible alternative to replacing the entire line.

Most residential relines are completed in one to two days including both camera inspections, the jetting and the liner itself. Excavation on the same pipe would typically run into days or weeks once the reinstatement work is counted.

Not usually. A liner needs an existing pipe to cure against, so a fully collapsed section has to be excavated and replaced first. That is one of the things the initial camera inspection is for, and we would rather tell you before you are committed than after.

It is a remotely operated cutting head used inside the pipe to remove root masses, protruding junctions and old obstructions before a liner goes in. You need it whenever there is something in the way that would stop the liner seating properly against the pipe wall. Skipping it is one of the main reasons relining jobs fail.
